The 4th Generation 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe LT
But first, let’s take a short walk down Tahoe memory lane....
I remember the first time I ever saw a 4 door Tahoe. It was 1995. I was driving passed a Chevrolet dealership in Washington and saw, what I thought was a Suburban, parked out on display by the road. But as I got closer, I noticed it was obviously not. It was.... shorter. Same everything, but clearly shorter.
The newly introduced Tahoe was equally as attractive as it’s bigger brother the Suburban. But, the thing that had me stuck, was wondering why was it was only a 5 passenger SUV? I mean, even it’s supposed competition, the Ford Expedition, had that 3rd row seating. What gives?
Those 3 years before it was redesigned, I struggled to see how much better it would suit me and my growing family. We might as well stick to a cheaper 5 passenger SUV, like the Blazer, Explorer or Jeep Grand Cherokee.
But then.. in March of 2000, something showed up that changed the game.
The all new 2nd generation 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe rolled out into the world. *Dabs tear from eye*
This latest Tahoe was particularly exciting…. because it let you haul around more than 5 loved ones and not need a minivan - (not that there’s anything wrong with that) or a 1980’s carpeted interior style full sized van - (everything wrong with THAT).
Then in 2007 Chevrolet redesigned it again. *DROOL*
Hello Beautiful. It rolled out with sharper body lines, a lower, +wider stance for better stability and a more chiseled, aggressive look. It had 4.3 more cubic feet of cargo room over last year. With the addition of power release and fold seating, and second-row seats that fold forward easily, this new 3rd gen Tahoe has stepped it up in a major way.
And last but certainly not least, the current 4th generation 2015-2019 Chevrolet Tahoe... *mic drop* MSRP: starting at $48,000
In my personal opinion, a black Tahoe looks so classic yet so bad ass. The clean lines, the chrome pieces around the windows and grille against the glossy black makes you feel like a VIP everyday in an ordinary commute. The well appointed interior gives off the same fuzzy feelings. The dash is the first thing that grabs your attention.

Through the years the Chevrolet Tahoe has not disappointed. I can only imagine what the newly designed 2021 will have in store for us. The wait is not long now, as it rumored to hit the market by mid-2020! Until then……
